Lelong Addict - Gadget Kaki

Lelong addict who sits in front of my computer aimlessly looking for cheap, shiny, nice gadgets on eBay and lelong. Life purpose is only to dream about getting a nice gadget. Pathethic existence but it's the only one I know of.

I personally like this phone. it's my current top 3 list (besides iPhone and Nokia N95). One negative for me is that this current auction details doesn't seem to have warranty. Still RM 999 is quite a steal considering the official list price is double that price. Also what's the deal with not giving the user manual, CD and box if it's not a quick grab ?

Auction closes on 3/29/2008 9:15:00 PM.

My Shopping Genie

Friday, March 21, 2008

Anything that makes life simpler always gets my attention. Particularly tech software that saves you time.

My Shopping Genie is a good example. It is a completely free software that works with your browser's search to automatically find bargains on eBay. It's so transparent it's almost magical!

This tool is simply fantastic if you do any buying and selling on eBay. Let's face it, almost everybody I know of is on eBay. My Shopping Genie also works with affiliate programs so it's a great boon to help you make more money online. The software works with major search engine such as Google and Yahoo and displays the results live from eBay. You will never miss a great bargain again using My Shopping Genie.

All you need is a browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox running on Windows XP or Vista. Also the program has the eBay Compatible Application logo meaning it is certified to work directly with the eBay Platform. That gives it a lot of trust value (at least from me).

Also, My Shopping Genie states clearly that there will be no imformation such as email, browsing habits, your personal particulars will be captured by the software. What are you waiting for? Go get My Shopping Genie today.

Nokia 6230i @ RM 280

Sunday, February 10, 2008

I know this is an old phone but I'm looking to have EDGE connection for my notebook. Of course there is faster 3G with Maxis or Celcom but from my experience from using my friend's internet DiGi Edge is better. All because it is very stable almost everywhere I've used it. It may not be as fast as 3G (when they work!) but I prefer constant and stable connection instead of blazing speed.

The Nokia 6230i is old fashioned by today's standard but it's a tough and capable phone.

Looking at the current offer priced at RM 280. Hmmmm.. I'll but if it is closer to RM 200.

iPhones Galore!

One such offer is from PDAGears who sell at Lelong.com.my

One of their offers is the 8GB iPhone unlocked at RM2069. Details here.

For me personally I think that's a little too expensive considering that Apple just introduced the 16 GB iPhone. I hope to see a price fall in Lelong as well as the many shops that sell iPhone in Sungei Wang Plaza.

RM 2000 perhaps for the 16Gb iPhone ?

According to Wikipedia:

Face detection is a computer technology that determines the locations and sizes of human faces in arbitrary (digital) images. It detects facial features and ignores anything else, such as buildings, trees and bodies.

I guess that's supposed to make pictures of faces sharper and clearer. Afterall most of the pictures we take of is of people :)
